Calamity Brains:
Even knowing it was made in the ’60s (and therefore wouldn’t include boobs), I had high hopes for this movie. The premise of a werewolf loose in a dormitory for bad girls sounded like a surefire winner. But everything about the movie was just terrible.
The quality of the movie was generally poor, the acting cringe-worthy, and the special effects… look, I watch a lot of crappy horror movies, and I’m hard-pressed to think of any that had worse effects. There was so little contact between attacker and victims that it was usually impossible to tell if someone was actually dead until another character announced it. Fake blood was an afterthought, and inconsistent between takes. And the titular werewolf was so rarely in costume that the movie could have been called “Guy with Mildly Hairy Hands in a Girl’s Dormitory.”
Even if you’re a big fan of lazy special effects, give this one a pass.
